Netflix and Eleven return to The Look for SEX EDUCATION season 3, posting in 4K Dolby Vision HDR in both London and Cardiff.

This smash hit series was graded by The Look’s senior colourist Thomas Urbye with support from Grace Weston.

We originally worked with DP Jamie Cairney & Director Ben Taylor to create a look and feel that was inspired by John Hughes’ 1980s films.  A vibrant palette with a filmic contrast curve combined with coloured shifts in the shadows and strong shifts to the primaries created a timeless sense of 80s films stocks, while ensuring the maximum quality was maintained for 4K streaming and HDR viewing.  In season 3 the look of the series was updated again with Ben Taylor and DP Oli Russell to embrace the autumnal feel and to create a more mature look for the series.

The series has gone on to be a critics favourite, a major series for Netflix, and loved by audiences around the world.

The eight part series was released globally on the 11th January 2019, the second season launched on 17th January 2020 and season three on 17th September 2021.
